Ohmegosh Nick, is that YOU in that picture? I can JUST barely make it out....there's a cart on one side sitting next to a vagabond there! Did you give that to him? That's nice! Glad to hear that you're travelling lighter and thanks for the map....it shows a TON....I couldn't believe that the kids got as much outta it as "I" did.....we are DEFINITELY going there! What was it called? Tree-est-aye? Cool, I can definitely find it now! I was really worried I'd be over there lookin an such!!! It sounds like you're loving everything over there...I hope I'm catching that right! Remember the BIGGER picture to print out when you get home though, wouldja? Although I got SO much outta THIS picture, I would REALLY LOVE for YOU to point out 'exactly' what I'm seeing (or NOT seeing)! Take care and keep on keepin' on, k?! Hi Carolyn, I am Shawn's mom. Nice to "meet" you. I am wondering how you were able to enlarge Nick's map to see so much; or are you kidding and I missed it :) Wouldn't be the first time. Nick is a treasure and I am so pleased to know him and for he and Shawn to be having such incredible adventures together. I look forward to their return though.
Hi Pat Kelley, it's nice to "meet" you! Carolyn is my sister, so therefore, Nicks' auntie. I am his Mom! I am glad that he and Shawn are having such wonderful adventures but I sure wish they'd come back HOME! I miss them. As far as the comments my sister made, I think she has a very vivid imagination if you know what I mean! Since Nick and Shawn don't seem to be updating this site very often, we may as well use it to comment back and forth to each other, don't you think? I'm sure Nick and Shawn will be happy to know that we are not only communicating with them, but with each other also. So, to Nick and Shawn, keep safe and return to us very soon! We all miss you very, very much. Grammy is staying with us for a few weeks, but she will be returning to MA at the beginning of September, so we will have to take you on a trip with us down there so you can share your adventures with her too! Well hello Nick's mom! Super to meet you! Hooray! Nick put an update on his blog. If they only knew what it means to us to hear anything! I heard from Shawn and she is happily in Ireland. I guess she and Nick plan to meet up again in Amsterdam, (I think). Well, after I wrote the note I realized that Carolyn must have been kidding. She is creative! I wish we could see pictures of Nick and Shawn. Nick has done a super job with this blog. I am so grateful to have it to get glimpses of their journey and of them. Perhaps we will meet some day. I am living in Burlington right now.
Hi to Pat: Like my sister says, I WAS kidding. I'm hoping my nephew picks up on the sarcasm of his Aunt here, if you didn't Nick, I saw NOTHING, NADDA, NITCH, and ZILCH. Though I DID see a BUNCH of trees and they WERE pretty! Sorry if I got you going Pat, I was expecting a 'treasure map' and, maybe it's me, but "I" couldn't ZOOM in and see nothin' (that's why I want the BIGGER picture and a pointer with Nick showing EXactly what it was that he uploaded that picture there for)! Not sure if Nick's reading his entries, cuz he's probably SO busy these days with riding and ("OUCH") walking too ALL that way, but I AM happy he's putting all these pictures and entries into this blog though. I wish there were more, and more frequent too, but it just shows that he's 'living' his great time, more than writing about it. There'll be plenty of time for 'talking' and writing about it when he gets home I guess. I'm sure this trip will be over sooner than Nick or Shawn would like, because it sounds like they'll never be able to see as much of Europe as they'd like with this trip or any other in the future. As for the moms? I understand missing your kids, but this is definitely the opportunity of a lifetime (I'm just glad my own kids aren't old enough to leave me yet) and I'm SO glad Nick picked this way to keep us ALL informed on what's going on over there!!! I am SO jealous of Shawn going to Ireland though, it's the only country I've ever wanted to visit and the only place over there I've ever heard only good things about the country and the people! God bless both of you and a safe journey and safe passage back home when you're ready to relive their memories over and over and OVER again to friends and family (along with the tellings of that 'treasure map' Nick)! I just hope there's more pictures than what is on this blog! Can't wait, keep snappin'! Take care and nice to 'meet' you too Pat, (Nick's) Ant E. Carolyn
